8 weeks jabs

So my daughter had her jabs yesterday and she had 2.5ml of calpol just before 10 in the morning and then another dose at 2:40 of 2.5mls as she was running a temperature of 37.8 and was unsettled and looked really uncomfortable and then around 9:45-10 at night I gave her another dose of 2.5mls. The nurse that did the jabs said to give her calpol if she’s running a temperature and looks to be constipated (which she was screaming because she was struggling to poop so obviously that was a issue for her), she was mostly back to being herself she was just so hot and unsettled and now I’m worried have I gave her too much calpol? I just sat there and thought to myself while giving it her j would much rather give her that 3rd dose to bring the temperature down as hot babies don’t wake up and it’s a massive fear 😭, I don’t want to make up to my baby not being alive 🥺

You can give 4 2.5ml doses in a 24hr period (4-6hrs apart) so what you’ve given is absolutely fine 🙂

My nurse said to give him all 3 doses of 2.5 and they can have 4 in 24 hrs if needed

I was advised to give 3 doses of calpol after the 8 week jabs 4-6 hours apart to prevent a temperature 👍🏻

Thank you so much 🥺. My partner was worried I may have overdosed her but her first dose she had all of and the second one she had about half and the 3rd she had about 3/4 of it so she hasn’t had 3 ful doses but I couldn’t sleep with worry. Has anybody needed to give their little ones calpol the following day or did their temperature go completely?

@Karly I gave my first baby regular calpol for 48 hours after the injections, not just for the temperature but for the discomfort as the injection sites had gone lumpy (very normal and they go down), but just in case he had any pain, he was fine after that x

I gave my lo this much and one more dose the next day and then she was fine x
