Strep b test with yeast infection

I had my strep b test today and I’m currently dealing with a yeast infection. I’m just worried that having a yeast infection will somehow cause my strep test to come back positive. I’m looking it up and can’t find anything about it. Anyone else have a similar experience?

I don't think it will cause it to come back positive in the sense of a false positive, but it does look like strep b and candida associate with each other. So maybe that increases the chances of strep b being present and testing positive?

I have the same thing, and the strep b teast and yest test are two different tests they do. And it won't make your strep b come back positive. I know it is a scary thing to hear that you have it, but you and baby will be fine as they will give you an antibiotic when you go into labor, so baby doesn't get it. It is common to get as I have it as well. I just got over having a yeast infection.

Two different tests! But a positive gbs isn’t anything to worry about. It’s just a common bacteria and if you have it then you get antibiotics in labor.

I had a yeast infection and was negative!

It will not
