Organic beef sticks, nuts, protein balls, nut butter snacks of many kinds, chia snacks or pudding, organic trail mix, egg bites, cheese wheels, kids protein bars
My 22 month old loves jerky.
Hard boiled eggs, edamame, chickpeas, chomps or Tillamook zero sugar beef sticks, babybell cheese, whole milk yogurt pouches, nuts, PBJs, deli meat, beans (mine loves pinto beans). I can’t think of anything else mine eats right now. I rarely let me toddler eat in the car now, it’s just way too messy.
More of a meal item but my tot also loves chicken nuggets, hotdogs, and shrimp. I can’t get her to eat any other meats despite trying.
We do protein pouches for the car or bars. Otherwise, yogurt, cottage cheese, hard boiled eggs, peanut butter waffles, chicken nuggets, Vienna sausages, protein pasta with olive oil or cheese. Honestly we focus a lot of protein during snacks. Remember, just because a food isn’t typically considered a “snack” food doesn’t mean it cannot be given as a snack.
Just for info don't overdo it on the protein. A toddler needs carbs and fat for energy so if you don't balance it well they run out of room for it if given too much protein. I don't give food in the car cos if something happens (choking) you can't get them out that fast.
You can make the cottage cheese wraps or flat breads, pancakes with only eggs and banana, yoghurt (add fruits, crushed nuts, etc to change it up), cloud bread, hummus & vegetables (plus you can blend vegetables into hummus like caramelised onion, beetroot), plant based yoghurts, make popsicles with yoghurt (or soya yoghurt) and crushed fruits, make tomato sauce with lentils and beans (or also cottage cheese) and use it on puff pastry to make pin wheel pizzas, you can also make or buy high protein bread to make little sandwiches with meats
Mine loves protein waffles. Ingredients are pretty clean and they are not too messy for the car. This snack is for the whole family, husband likes them too. Our fave is blueberry ones.
