Tomato basil Parmesan, curry pumpkin, creamy roasted garlic & cauliflower, creamy vegetable soup
Potato soup or broccoli chowder!
Thank you Ladies so very much!
How about split pea soup but without the ham?
Cashew carrot squash is my favorite!😋
@Renee ooh. This sounds really good!
Also looking to up his protein intake. How do I that when everything is puréed?
@Sapphire Fire does he like yogurt? Chobani makes a protein yogurt drink with 20 grams of protein, it's really tasty! It comes in a blue bottle
Try out a unflavored protein powder. I’m sure you could put it in just about anything
Roasted sweet potato and pumpkin soup. When hubby eats it he adds a scoop of rice but you don’t have to. They boil it in stock I like to roast it. Hence mine is a bit darker than the photo https://itsnotcomplicatedrecipes.com/spiced-pumpkin-and-sweet-potato-soup/
Creamy cheesy broccoli soup and blend it. Also butternut squash soup is amazing as well.
@Sapphire Fire also protein shakes
@Cara he’s not really a fan of yoghurt but he’s had to start “drinking” it as I have to thin it down with milk. I’ve been giving him evaporated milk instead of regular plant milk. He’s a big boy, 6ft5 so he needs the protein.
Okay I have one soup and just general notes from my puréed soup adventures. https://smittenkitchen.com/2012/01/carrot-soup-with-miso-and-sesame/ Notes - white miso for beginners. Red miso for flavor lovers. Roast the veg first for another level of flavor. Use bullion plus water, this can replace your salt and stock. General puréed soup notes - add silken tofu to any blended soup to add protein and thicken the soup a tad. (Be sure to drain it a bit before adding it in) - cauliflower will also thicken and add nutrients to any puréed soup without altering too much flavor. - I use bullion and water instead of stock. I will also skip the salt and just add more bullion instead. It really adds a nice flavor than just salt.
you could just boil a bunch of veggies and puree them together with seasonings, then pour through a fine mesh sieve to eliminate chunks (:
