Plates for toddlers

Hey mamas! Does anyone have a good recommendation for a plastic-free, silicone-free plate that can’t break? I know I’m asking for a lot haha. We have ceramic toddler plates but husband is nervous son will throw and break them. The silicone ones are starting to make all food taste like soap, even when food isn’t heated on the plate. And avoiding plastics for obvious reasons. Any ideas are welcome! Thanks!!

Once you buy new plates. We use ezpz and target silicone plates. I don't think it matters too much because they all take on smells but You may try to use a cleaner brand unscented dish soap which doesn't leave soap residue and wash by hand. Also soaking in baking soda and white vinegar may help.

We use bamboo plates

Metal camping plates are a thing.

Love all these! Thanks!

Korean stainless steel plates. They usually have dividers which is great for kids with “my food is touching”itis. No microwave. But totally dishwasher and kids friendly. But if that’s too big of a leap for you might I recommend starting with dip cups? These are the ones I used. And we use them for everything! Snack, dips, bits of new foods and we use them all the time too! https://a.co/d/2nQdKdA

When we were using plates (my son keeps pulling it off and throwing it on the floor so he has downgraded to nothing now) i only use bamboo plates, they have been great (minus the pulling the suction part off now his older). I have microwaved in them too but they are soft so avoid cutting on them. We are also plastic/silicone free as much as possible so he has never had a plastic bottle/cup either.

These are my fave, wheat straw plates, completely shatterproof, dishwasher and microwave safe, doesn't get scalding hot in the microwave, and doesn't stain easily. They also look nice on my open shelves https://a.co/d/cJAfCIp
