I told my mum over FaceTime😂😂 everyone else we just showed the scan picture too, we already have a little boy im not saying having a 2nd baby isn’t special but everyone’s already experienced the excitement of the first and nothing can really beat that😂😂
Although it’s my second, it’s my husband’s first (16 yrs after me having my son!!) and as we’ve been together 11 yrs (with a lot of ‘when are you having babies?! Questions from family) it feels like a big deal. We’re visiting my parents in 2 weeks and his mum is coming with. I’ve designed a champagne label using our scan picture and saying “Baby Carr” “expected March 2025” on it, and “un Nouvel Arrivant” (A new arrival) as the name. I’ll have been in Paris at the beginning of the week so we’re telling them I’ve brought them some French champagne. My son is going to film their reactions 😂 my sister already knows and the other siblings we’ll just tell them!
This is also my third and my oldest has told her grandparents that there’s a baby in mummy’s tummy, friends I just sent a text to the group chat but told those who have had losses or are struggling personally a few days beforehand
For our parents we got our little boy to wear a tshirt that says “I’m going to be a big brother” which was cute. But siblings and wider family we’ve just been saying we’re having a baby. Second time round is still special for us but by this point everyone is aunties, uncles etc so there’s nothing to really get them gift wise and it’s not as much of a surprise when you’ve already got one 😅
