I personally wouldn’t but that’s just because I had my first at 27 weeks and my pregnancy was fine up until I went into spontaneous labour at 27 weeks. No issues in pregnancy either. If I was going to go abroad I would go somewhere that had really good healthcare/maternity facilities just incase x
I think at 26 weeks you’ll be absolutely fine, my first pregnancy went to 41 weeks so at 26 weeks I still had a longggg way to go 😅 xxx
I think plan for a worst case scenario for peace of mind but other wise take the chance you have now to enjoy what may be a last vacation solo for a bit! ❤️❤️ sleep in, eat out, sit at the water and do nothing lol (wish I could have but we were in covid with my first 👎)
I think you'll be fine, if you're travelling abroad I'd have a fit to fly doctors note, just in case they ask for it. Have a lovely holiday and enjoy!
I'm going on holiday tomorrow for 10 days and I'm 27 weeks pregnant. Enjoy!xx
I just came back from a week away for my Babymoon flying out when I was 26 weeks and back when I was 27. It was absolutely fine I would just recommend going somewhere that isn’t too hilly as the heat took it out of me and I was struggling with long walks (probably more down to my lack of fitness though!)
I’m 27 weeks and going tomorrow for 2 weeks to Turkey. I had to get a fit to fly, done the same with my first last year 🥰
@Beth which notes do u need , the whole book ?
@Saskia yeah take the whole book, if anything happens they’ll need it to refer to x
Thanks everyone. Think we are going to book it. Struggled to get in with my GP today to get a fit to fly. Will try again on Monday, was worried on booking holiday without note but just going to go for it xx
@Rachael might just hide bump in a tracksuit I’m only 26 weeks anyways so Ryan air does let fly but Cba to bring the whole booklet taking up space in my bag for them to read
I just got a note from my midwife to fly, it seemed to be a template they filled in, she just said it had to be done within a week of flying. In terms of the airline I was just asked at the gate how many weeks I was but they didn’t ask to see any proof so didn’t need to use it in the end x
I’ve just got back from our Babymoon - I was 26 weeks flying out and just over 27 weeks coming back. The midwife just gave me a fit to fly letter in case the airline wanted to see it but they didn’t ask x
We’re on our baby moon currently and I’m 28 weeks. Just check with your midwife and take your pregnancy notes and you’ll be set. Just bare in mind you may need a fit to fly certificate which the midwife’s told me they can no longer supply, had to get mine online which cost about £45, you may not need one but just check with the airline x
