Hi all.
My son is 3.5 and will be going to primary school next September and so we’re looking at primary schools now. Unfortunately, we’re not very close to any of the outstanding schools such as park hill infant or St John’s CoFe. Has anyone had experience of getting their children into good primary schools but are out of catchment? Thank you. Or any success from waiting lists?
I have had luck, but sometimes it depends if there are spaces.. or if you are on a waiting list and someone within that catchment area makes an application and jumps ahead of you if that makes sense.
Can I ask how far out you were from a top school and how long you had to wait x
The decline in birth rate may work in your favour. Many primary schools have spaces in most year groups so I would definatley expand your search
