My baby’s head was engaged from 23 weeks, I wouldn’t take that as indicator as gave birth 40+3 :)
My babies head was engaged from 30 weeks, and I gave birth 41 + 1. I wouldn't use it as an indicator x
Very normal for the head to be engaged at 35 weeks particularly if it’s your first baby. It holds absolutely no bearing on when you may go into labour
With a first they can be engaged for weeks before you go into labour. My son was in position and engaged pretty early but I didn’t go into labour until 40 weeks. I can’t remember exactly when it was but I believe it was at least 7 weeks he was engaged with. I think they tend to engage closer to birth in subsequent pregnancies.
My babies' heads were engaged like late 2nd trimester and stayed that way most of the time. My second dropped real early too but then floated back up the last couple of weeks so it isn't incredibly important. They come and labor starts when they are ready and fully ripe, like a fruit, you don't want to pick it before it is ready.
Mined been engaged from around 28 weeks maybe a bit longer and i’m 33 weeks. still pushing on, although I have experienced bad pelvic girdle pain because of it so I would recommend a belt :)
My baby has gone from head engaged to breech to engaged to breech again in the past few weeks so I wouldn’t take it as an indicator for when labour can start as my midwife said it can still change up until you’re giving birth x
My baby’s head has been engaged since around 32 weeks and I’m 40+5 now so although it’s definitely good news didn’t indicate much! 😆
