someone please tell me im not alone im this 🤦‍♀️

Hi everyone not kid related but im a single mum of 2 kids and have been on my own for 10 years. Last week i finally let myself have some fun and agreed to go on a date with someone id been chatting to online. My mum had the kids anyway so why not.. Flash forward a bit to the date, we met at a local restaurant and had a meal. I did like him but the whole time i was eating all he was chatting about is his work and how alot of it involves picking up deceased animals in the road with some gory details aswell. At the end he asked if i wanted him to come back to mine to talk some more and i didnt want to, my opinion of him went seriously down with the dinner convo. My friends all say im being overdramatic but as an animal lover (which he knew beforehand) thats not something i ever want to hear especially while im eating. Would anyone else of cut it completely?

I’m married but if I was single there is no way I would bring a man to my house after the first date now that I have children. I think his forwardness with no boundaries is a bit of a red flag unless you’re not looking for a long term relationship. If you like him enough for a second date I would make clear boundaries that he must not discuss deceased animals in your presence. As an animal lover you’re not comfortable. If he can’t respect that I would let him know and just head home mid date and no longer see him.

@Lesley Nope i wouldnt bring anyone back to the house first time either, that and the animal stuff he was aware of before the dinner date even got arranged.. i blocked him as soon as i got in my car but my friends say i should of given him another chance so wondered if anyone else would of been as “overdramatic” as i was.

I wouldn’t call you overdramatic at all for your reaction. I would only give him a second chance if you really liked him otherwise I wouldn’t waste your time. ❤️ Your time is valuable.
