Lanternflies on the stroller?

I have a black stroller and the lantern flies by me love to drop onto it- a few times they’ve dropped into the lower storage area and hitched a ride into my apartment. Anyone know of ways to repel them? I’ve already stressed to my husband the importance of avoiding the areas where they hang out but he forgets. Luckily they are easy to catch / kill but I don’t want them on my baby and I don’t want to be startled while I’m carrying him in my arms at home (just happened).
