My little boy had it at around 7/8 months. It was everywhere. He struggled to eat for a couple of days but was fine. He never had a temp. I used aveeno dry skin cream on the spots, they seemed to go quicker. Also oats in the bath. He still has a couple of scars though. X
My daughter has just had it from getting it at nursery. She’s just turned 1 and the rash has now turned into peeling skin. She started over a weekend with a temp, had a funny tummy and then started with some spots around her mouth. I told nursery I thought it was teething and dribble rash until they called me saying the rash had come up on her hands and feet and loads of the kids had it too. Luckily, we didn’t get any blisters in the mouth and she was absolutely fine in herself after the weekend of the temperature and just had to ride out the rash. If anything, I ended up catching it from her and I definitely felt worse than she did🤣
It will get better after about 3-4 days; fever can take about 7 days to disappear. The goal is to make them as comfortable as possible. Tylenol and Motrin around the clock. Fluids are a must and offer solids but they probably won't want it. My son has had it twice. First time was around 1 yrs old and that was bad. He didn't sleep and we didn't sleep for like 3 days in a row. Had to keep driving to get him to sleep
