@Monica thank you! But I'm genuinely confused how it happens if you do the deed after ovulation? I didn't think it is possible?
Trust me when it comes to the human body there are always gonna be surprises
Are you just basing your ovulation off this app? I’d say you probably ovulated later than what this is saying pair that with sperm surviving a few days inside you also.
@Tash I wasn't tracking my ovulation so it's just what the app says. But I got my ovulation cramping and discharge on the 15th so it was definitely earlier than when we did it!
@Monica the human body is crazy.
You probably ovulated later than that date and the sperm lasts a few days in our bodies as well as your egg being ripe for 1 day or so after.
You probably ovulated at a different date. Sperm can also live for a few days. Are your cycles regular and if so, how long are they usually? You can subtract 14 days from your expected period and that would give you a rough ovulation date.
When we were trying to conceive, i thought i knew when i was ovulating but when i started testing for ovulation it was completely different! You could have ovulated on the 16/17 even if you had symptoms on the 15 🤷♀️ i had ovulated twice one month and conceived “twins” a week apart.
You would have ovulated later this cycle. Unless you are tracking ovulation by blood tests etc these apps are not accurate
If you're only tracking ovulation by app, it can be wrong. It was wrong for me every single time. Also sperm can survive inside you 5-7 days. Unprotected sex is a gamble at any point.
I did ovulation testing when I fell pregnant and I tended to ovulate later in my cycle than what my app predicted. I get it. My birthday is late May, my husbands and my fathers is early June and our little girl arrived right before my birthday. 😄
Yeah the app probably didn’t predict your ovulation correctly. Also sperm survives inside you for like 5 days!
Maybe you ovulated later ? If you are using a period tracker it’s not 100% accurate.
Many women don't ovulate in the middle of their cycle 😊 you would have just ovulated late.

Thanks everyone. Makes sense!
I had something similar happen so my ex and I did the 6 as soon as my period ended and then I worked 8 night shifts in a row so I was working when I ovulated. Then 2 weeks later I was pregnant. Still trying to figure it out as I am a 30 day cycle and was due to ovulate on day 16 and had sex day 8. I have 3 kids born in July, 1 on the 15th and 2 the 18th(not twins and 2 years apart)
Congrats and that's one expensive month for you guys
