Dang I'm 6 months postpartum and just found out I'm pregnant so I also would love to hear
Had my first July 2022 via section then second Aug 2023 via section. My scar is fine & i healed really well both times with no issues :) x
I asked my doctor about this because my husband and I wanted to have 2 under 2 and doc just said VBAC wouldn’t likely be an option but fortunately another C-section is! But following this thread to hear others personal experience..
I got pregnant shortly after I was a surrogate. My baby has a very minor deformity but I think it’s because my body was so depleted of nutrients from being pregnant so close before. Make sure you take folate! Eat as healthy as you can. Lots of fresh greens!
Had my daughter July 2022 had a c-Section only because she was two months early, pregnant again in March had her 1 Dec 2023 and had to have another c-sections my girls are 17 months apart, so to my understanding it's best to wait 18 months before getting pregnant again, if you had a c-section before you will have to have another due to your body not being fully healed after the previous surgery. hope this helps
Oh i forgot to add, VBAC was an option for me there is 13 months between my girls but i chose a second section x
Similar to Candice- Had my first in March 2023 via section, about to have second on Friday via elected section. My scar is great, everything this pregnancy has been totally healthy, and my body is actually way healthier and stronger this pregnancy than the first.
I’m 14 weeks atm and like you I got pregnant at 9 months pp. my midwives & doctors have said that it’s so close to a year they don’t worry too much cos it happens a lot, you will just need more monitoring. My pregnancy is going normal so far and I am allowed a VBAC if I want one
I was chatting with a nurse recently about this. We want to try for our third from 6 months on. (I honestly don’t expect to get pregnant so quick as I got pregnant at 18 months postpartum.) she said that it isn’t advised but if it happens she doesn’t see a problem as it does happen. I’m sorry I couldn’t give you a better answer.
