Following! My toddler has a ‘puddle suit’ and it definitely doesn’t keep her dry - just stops mud from going on her clothes.

My little one goes to forest school and they recommend the Didrikson brand. They come as separate dungarees and a coat. They are Galon fabric which is completely waterproof. Lidl and sometimes Aldi do their own dupes, and are lined so will keep them a little warmer 😃 The kids are outside in all weather, and will happily jump and sit in muddy puddles in these waterproofs - with their clothes underneath staying dry.

(Also check Vinted for both Didrikson and Lidl waterproofs - Lidl brand is called ‘Lupilu’)

@Steph yeah same here! It’s ok if it’s spitting but if he sits in a wet patch it basically soaks through near enough

@Cesca brilliant thank you!

Have you tried the regretta ones??

We have a regatta one from mountain warehouse. It’s not their basic ones as they’re very thin. It is a lot thicker but was the only one in the sale so not sure if they’re still about. Size 2-3 and is quite roomy on her (she’s 21 months but quite tall).

We had a mountain warehouse fleece lined one which was brilliant. Regatta fleece lined has also been very good

https://amzn.eu/d/guHzrjQ We have this Regatta one from Amazon. My little boy likes to sit in puddles but his clothes underneath are always dry when we get home.

@Cesca We got the Lidl dupe, not the full puddle suit but the over trousers, nothing gets through them!

I second the Lidl puddle suit trousers! They keep my daughter dry and warm every time! They have elastic leg cuffs so you can put that over the boot and then there’s a elastic strap that goes under the boot to keep them in place

George asda do some great puddle suits, I bought my daughters one last year for £11 I think, kept her fairly clean x
