I’ve been going gym 3/2 times a week and I’ve been going swimming once a week. Try going swimming too, if you like to be active like me, it’ll defo help and make you feel on top of the world 😂
I wouldn't worry I think it's totally normal! If you've intentionally dropped the weight then you're not going to be able to lift as heavy as before and that's fine! I'm in the exact same boat and am 16 weeks, I haven't really noticeably lost strength as such but I've just consciously started lifting a bit less anyway to preserve energy, not strain too much etc so I'm sure if I upped my weights again I'd find it harder. The same with my running, I've really scaled it back so expect to have lost some speed/stamina. The fact that you're still doing it is the main thing, it's so amazing for you and baby so don't beat yourself up ❤️ When you're ready post baby you'll be able to build your strength back up and remember there are plenty of non pregnant people not doing as much as you so be proud!
I’m 13 weeks and my strength has definitely dropped. Although for the last 6-8 weeks I’ve only managed approx 1 session per week as I’ve struggled such with nausea so I’ve also put it down to that.
Aww thank you so much for your replies, definitely makes me feel so much better! I’m looking forward to being able get strong again post baby 😂
Hey hun, I’m 35 weeks still strength training but I dropped the weight by 30kg and slowly worked my way up during these pregnancy period. I used to be able to squat 100kg etc but now I’m only in 68kg which my body is very used to and happy with. Honestly, you’ll get lots of people telling you different things but you know what your body can and can’t handle ♥️ also, it’s very normal to not being able to have the same strength, you have a whole baby inside you that’s growing and using up so much of your energy etc so don’t worry to much hun ♥️
