So long as you have a car seat then don't stress about the travel system
33 weeks tomorrow and I’m the same. Nursery is stripped but not decorated yet. Waiting to get that done before we set furniture up and can’t wash baby’s clothes until that’s done 😫 also trying to see if we can hold out until Black Friday to get a good deal on our travel system but it’s a bit risky in case baby comes early 😂 Ive got some bits sorted for hospital bag but not everything. Feeling so unprepared!
Mee too, I will be 34 weeks tomorrow and haven't done anything. We are waiting for new property keys and will be moving out in two weeks, did shopping for the hospital bag yesterday and took me 4-5 hrs for all the purchasing. I don't have much time as I might be induced at 36-37 weeks due to complications, Just decided to leave everything and stop stressing. So, don't worry about other stuff, baby still got time for their nursery room
@Natasha I was going to try and do the same for Black Friday but as my due date is early December I think I’m going to have to give in 🙈
I'm exactly the same! The delivery of the travel system is delayed until mid November, nursery is a dumping ground for our stuff and furniture is still in its box, hospital bag has been bought but nothing's been packed 😅
Black Friday deals can be a bit of a let down - you might be just as well off signing up to newsletters etc for store direct discounts! Usually IG is a good place to spot them, even just little things like Mabel + Fox have 25% off changing mats at the moment and I can’t see them being much more generous than that x
All baby needs when they come home is somewhere to sleep (in your room to start anyway) baby grows, nappies, wipes and feeding stuff if formula feeding. Oh and a car seat to come home.
Thank you for posting this! Knowing others are in the same situation makes me feel so much better. We’re in the middle of a house renovation and every room including ours and the babies is full of boxes. Nothing has been brought or painted or set up. I found YouTubing ‘hospital bags’ And writing down a wish list is helping me feel slightly less stressed and a bit more in control.
With my LB I was relatively organised ... With this one ... Not at all ... Yes I have a lot of leftover stuff from my LB but it all needs cleaning properly etc One thing I will advise anyone that reads this tho, in your hospital bag, get a plastic wallet put a nappy, baby grow, gloves, hat etc and name it C-section, get your birthing partner to pack it away so they know where it is so if there's an emergency they can grab and go without the worry of am I getting the right things blah blah blah ... Helped us out!
I'm the same, I've had no time to do anything, all baby boys clothes were in random plastic bags dotted round the house but finally started sorting out this week (as only just started ML) and finally got my Crib on Friday - We've got time, just make sure you get the basics first, do one thing a day so it doesn't feel overwhelming and stressful and what helps me is writing lists, to-do list, what I need for Hospital Bag, what I need for baby, what I need for me and then just ticking it off as you go 😊
You've got time! And the nursery won't likely be used much if they're sleeping in your room!
