@Melea yes, let me attach the results. Its seems like they were normal since they didn’t say anything.
This is for protein, not really sure what it means tbh
Okay, well that’s good at least. However from my understanding, it can come on somewhat suddenly, so I’d continue to monitor how you’re feeling along with your BP. If it continues to be high and the headache won’t go away and you develop other symptoms like a pain in your side or seeing spots in your vision, definitely go get checked out again. Does caffeine ever help your headaches? Or could you try to nap and see if that helps?
It sounds reasonable that they didn’t start medication based on a single value and wanted you to monitor further at home. Keep a daily blood pressure log - check it a few times per day, ensure you are seated and relaxed for a few mins prior to checking your blood pressure. Call your OB after about a week to discuss once you have this data. If things get worse suddenly, go to the ER
@Melea yes caffeine does seem to help my headache most times, but not always. Naps not at all sadly… most nights I got to bed with a slight headache and wake up with my head throbbing😭
@Rebecca thank you! I will definitely monitor it💕
It also might help to take your BP machine with you to the doctor and see if the numbers are the same. Sometimes they can be off or not fitted correctly
I had preeclampsia my last pregnancy and started baby aspirin around 26 weeks with similar blood pressure readings. I only had protein in Urine once and went back to normal but at 38 weeks bp was 150/100 so I was induced. Never was put on blood pressure meds tho. Just keep a log and try to stay calm and relax, Tylenol every 4 hours to help with headache. That’s good your protein was negative and they’ll probably want to draw your blood soon to check more thoroughly for preeclampsia. I only take my blood pressure reading once a day in the evening, about an hour after eating, 30 minutes after using restroom and relaxing and around the same time everyday. You can look into starting the DASH diet, low sodium. Other than that baby aspirin and light activity/ workout there’s not much else you or the drs can do.
They told me just keep the log and talk to dr unless bp was around 150/95 then go straight to labor and delivery
@Alana they had me take it in and luckily it was very similar, I had thought the same thing.
@Ashley thank you for the info, I really appreciate it. Feel like this helps a lot.
@Chasey you’re welcome. I wish they had explained everything better to me when I was first diagnosed with high blood pressure. They never even mentioned preeclampsia until I was 38 weeks and rushed to hospital. But I think they do that to keep your stress levels down. It doesn’t always mean that but something to be prepared for if it does happen. My delivery went well and baby was perfectly healthy. Yours will be too ♥️
The same thing is happening to me😩 it’s so scary. Im 27 weeks just started baby aspirin and doctor ordered a 24 hour urine test. Been having headaches as well but bp has been 137 around there😕
@Michelle hope all is going well!! I had to do a 24hour urine sample at the beginning of my pregnancy due to how my last pregnancy ended. Luckily all was good. They just put me on baby aspirin a week ago when I had to go into hospital… Wish you the best!!🫶🏻

@Chasey really hope the rest of your pregnancy goes smooth. Did they make you refrigerate? I heard yes but my lab said room temp is fine. Im confused.
@Michelle I was told to refrigerate mine☺️
@Chasey really? Ugh im so confused 😩 I’ll refrigerate just incase lol
I’d be concerned with the continued high BP readings in conjunction with the migraine that it could be preeclampsia. Did they check for protein in your urine when you were in the hospital or at your appt?
