Diabetes test

So I’m 33+1 and apparently I’m carrying too much fluid. I’m being sent for a Diabetes test tomorrow morning. Anyone got tips? Did anyone else have one this late?? I’m just so worried

Me, but at 28 weeks. Was very mild polyhydramnios but GTT was 0.2 over the cut off. All blood sugars since have been normal with no diet changes but the extra fluid hasn’t resolved so currently taking some meds to see if that does the trick, which is a little frustrating when all the sugars have been normal since! Really nothing to worry over if you do have it. Just means you’ll have extra monitoring, be offered an induction. Risks are small if it’s known about and managed well

I had one at 32 weeks, it was honestly a lot better than I was expecting. Just take something to keep you occupied for that couple of hours you’re waiting x

I’ve got a second one on Friday. Bring a water bottle with you to sip whilst you wait between blood tests and have a snack for afterwards once you’re all done. Xx

I got told I’m carrying more fluid but don’t need to have the test as had one at 28 weeks but they have done a blood test to check for infection but the consultant did say apparently 80% of ppl carry more fluid and they have no idea why so fingers crossed all will be ok xx
