Early gender blood test

Slightly off topic but has anyone had an early gender blood test and it’s been wrong?

The only way a blood test can give a wrong result is if there is an admin mix-up at the lab

Mine was right. I did the sneak peek one. If you’re doing an at home test then it’s most likely to be wrong if you don’t follow instructions properly and the sample is contaminated

Depends on if you do an at home one or one at the office. The one at the office is best since it’s a lot less likely for the sample to be contaminated than the at home one. I’ve known 2 people who’s results were wrong on their early gender prediction tests but they did at home ones. If the sample gets contaminated it can come back wrong or inconclusive. One did it on their first and it said it was a boy and it was a girl. The other person was my cousin who had had a boy first and got pregnant 7 months later, said it was going to be a girl and it was another boy 😅 they had to return a lot of stuff once the boy was confirmed via ultrasound. It’s still a fun thing to do but I wouldn’t go ham on buying stuff unless it’s gender neutral until you get confirmation via ultrasound just on the very off chance it’s wrong.

It’s super rare for the blood test to be wrong. Like next to impossible from my understanding.

I’ve heard that if you already have had a boy recently the Y chromosome can stay in your system for a while and can potentially show as boy on another blood test. But that’s for super close together babies I believe.

Mine was wrong but home test

@KayLee I know someone who paid for the office blood test and had a boy who was like 4/5 and it told her she was having another boy and it was a girl. But it does say they are 99.9% accurate

@Diana I am doing the sneak peak one too
