Alternative hospitals for birth

I’ve had a few bad experiences as Basildon hospital with both miscarriages and birth so this time around I’m keen to explore different hospitals. Does anyone have any positive/negative experiences for pregnancy/birth at Darent valley hospital in dartford or Southend hospital?

I went to broomfields in Chelmsford and I cannot fault them at the maternity unit honestly the midwife & surgeon I had for my c section where absolutely amazing xx

I was induced November last year at Southend hospital. Was in there for 5 days and can't fault the staff at all. From start to finish they were all fantastic.

I had a negative experience in Basildon during and after birth - completely no care towards me as a young first time mum And I had my second and Southend and they where honestly just so amazing in comparison I couldn't fault them I'm having my third in Southend too

I'd echo what @Jade said about Broomfield, but no experience of Dartford or Southend, sorry.

I don’t think Basildon are bad there lovely towards me

I birthed in Southend in 2023. Had a good experience. I absolutely hate Basildon.

I work at Basildon hospital and was dreading the idea of going there knowing what some of the midwives are like, but luckily i ended up having to go to Broomfield to be induced as they had no beds. Care there was so much better than i expected and already decided we'll be going there when we have next baby❤

Thank you all for the advice, it’s been so helpful! I’ve decided to go to Southend as it’s a bit closer for me than broomfield 💖

I gave birth September 2024 at Basildon and they was honestly amazing with me my partner and my son. I couldn’t fault them one bit! They were ever so helpful and my birth experience was great xx

I had my baby at Darenth Valley & they were amazing! My waters only partially broke and so it wasn’t the birth I’d wanted as I ended up being induced but they were so amazing!
