Genuine question

When do you take your baby to the dr for crying/fussiness? I am starting to think there might be something wrong, but other than being REALLY fussy for 2 months, i have nothing. But i don’t know if this is normal or not? I have no friends to ask so i’m just on my own.

Is it possible your baby is teething?

@Levi possibly but its been going on for about 2 months. She just seems to be getting more fussy and grumpy by the day. I’ve been using some teething stuff but it doesn’t seem to help

it may just be a phase babies go through. They can start getting fussier around 4-5months mark. I bought a book Baby Week by Week and it helped in terms of managing my expectations.

I would try and track when it happens and see if you think there might be something causing it. Like is it shortly after a feed it happens? Or is it just before doing a poo and that's making them really uncomfortable? My baby is now being tested for a milk allergy and I put off going to the doctor for so long as I thought it was normal baby behaviour. It wasn't until my health visitor seen one of his fussy periods and I was told that it wasn't normal that made me feel confident in going.

@Ronda there is literally no pattern, its all different times of the day. My baby has zero symptoms of a milk allergy 🤷🏻‍♀️

It could just be a phase, my little boy who's now almost 3 was very very fussy until he learned to move around. I think he was just fed up. I did get him checked for peace of mind at the time and he was absolutely fine. They said to me at the time that some babies just don't enjoy being babies until they can move/play. Maybe check in with your health visitor for some advice and keep a diary in the mean time to see if any triggers pop up x

Does any of this look like your baby? https://www.instagram.com/p/CdFXdeCM3NP/?igsh=N3d4b3ZtM3o4ZWNt

If you arent sure, ask your health visitor. Thats what they are there for, if theres nothing wrong they can help give you advice to cope with the behaviour. Hope you are ok x

@Lauren she had her tongue tie cut at 6 weeks and we’ve been to a craniosteopath who was happy with her

Hopefully it’s just a fussy phase and she’ll grow out of it. Some babies are highly sensitive/spirited babies and just continue to feel things more than other babies. It’s hard, but you learn ways of coping and how to help them. I’d guess it’s a phase if it hasn’t been since birth.
