Due to nursery now I have a schedule that kind of fits that when he's at home. Wake up 7:30 Breakfast by 8am First bottle around 10-10:30 then nap Lunch between 12 and 1 (nursery give him full lunch, I give him whatever I can, toast, fruit with pancakes) Second bottle 2-2:30 followed by nap Dinner 4:30-5 Last bottle 7-7:30 then bed. It can be a struggle if we go out as I struggle with what I can give him when we go out so I always make sure I've got snacky bits with me just incase and an extra bottle. I'm rubbish for lunch ideas as I just don't feel I have the time to make what's suggested or what I find on tiktok plus I'm not that adventurous myself 😳
@Wanyu thankyou! Out of curiosity does your little one sleep through without that last bottle or make up for it during the night? Thanks
7am Wake 7am Boobie 7:30am Breakfast - usually the biggest meal where she’s hungry, a bowl of porridge, some fruit usually berries, and some yogurt. 9:30-10:00am Nap 10am Boobie 10:30am Snack (melty sticks, rice cake, similar) 11:30am Lunch (baked beans, some cheese, more fruit) 12:30-2:30pm Nap 2:30pm Boobie 3:30pm Snack (as before or perhaps some toast or yoghurt) 5pm Dinner (small salt light version of what we are having) 6pm Bath 6:30pm Boobie 7pm Lights out We used a certified sleep coach who got us on above routine. She isn’t there yet sleeping through every night but will now do 7-7 most nights. The coach said the most important thing for sleeping through is protein at lunch.
@Laura I’m so not adventurous with and eat 2 meals myself so a third plus snacks is something to think about every day, plus he has a dairy allergy so it’s all fun and games around here😭
He has slept through without the last bottle or night feeds since about 8 months old. We always make sure there’s enough carb for dinner! But during transition (~7 months) sometimes he’d wake up at night and a night feed would soothe him quickly - but we realised that’s just comfort feed not hunger so we stopped doing that and did some sleep training instead.
Im also not good with food myself so we go for the easy way - toasted bread or rice/pasta/couscous + half readily made pouch with meat + some steamed veggie on the side as finger food. Takes about 15 mins to prep and LO loves it. I still struggle with lunch though but he’s going to nursery soon so that one I don’t need to worry about 😂😆
Early morning - Breastfed on request (could be multiple times) 8am - breakfast 10/11am - Breastfed 12:30/1 - Lunch 2/3 - Breastfed 6/7 - Dinner 8 or after - Bed My LO is a great eater but when teething or not well they might not eat as much. If they are awake when I have a coffee / snack I will give them bits of what I am eating.
3 bottles, 3 meals, no snacks unless we are out somewhere and I cant give her a meal or bottle yet
