Toast/ bread/ pancakes etc…

My LO dislikes (borderline hates!) toast, bread, pancakes, bagels….. anyone else experiencing this?? Wonder if she will grow out of it as this has restricted my already limited ideas for breakfast and lunch 🤯😫

Yep! My baby girl usually doesn’t tolerate any carbs. Hates bread, pasta and potatoes especially. Makes lunch hard but for bfast we do porridge, fruit and yoghurt so not so bad. For lunch we do baked beans, cheese (babybel), more yoghurt, more fruit, cucumber, hummus, soup…it’s hard!

You don’t have to do traditional things for breakfast. My girl has had tomatoe wedges for breakfast or vegetable fritters with hummous for breakfast. Or green frozen smoothie mix (has avocado, kale, papaya etc think in it) blended into yoghurt and some oats blended in too or chia seed to bulk it out. Maybe just give her something non traditional for breakfast. Heavy carbs might be a lot for their little bodies to digest maybe

@Christina forgot to mention my LG also hates cheese, cucumber and tomatoes 🤯 so it makes it so hard! She’s not had baked beans yet so might give that a go!

@Emma fab idea of chia seed smoothie mix! Again will let LG try it out! Thanks.

Chia seeds ‘I think’ are okay to eat straight away if blended (grinded down in blender). Otherwise if pre made night before they can be put in whole seeds (maybe check on solid starts app or online how much to put in). That gives time for the seeds to soften and go a bit jelly type consistency. I try not to give too often (every day) as can constipate if first time having them too often.

Thanks @Emma for all the info esp on chia seeds. I’ll check out solid start app too. Thanks.
