Havnt had my 12 week scan yet (it's tomorrow) but at my early reassurance scan at 9weeks I was 3 days behind what I thought it was
I was 4 days behind in my 12 wk scan but my private was 2 days x
I tracked my cycle meticulously but a 10 week private scan and my NHS scan at what I thought was 12 weeks have both brought me forward by the exact same amount of 1 week, so now 13 weeks x
I measured 2 days ahead at my 12 week and I’d tracked ovulation to a T
I had a scan at 9 weeks and the measurements were exactly right (which I thought was a bit weird). 12 week scan this week so (🤞) will be interesting to see if it's stayed the same
I was exactly a week ahead at my 12 week scan! Should have been 11+6 and was measuring 12+6!
This sounds very weird but if your baby measures small does this effect the dates - sounds weird but they have said they are sure my baby will be measuring small due to previous problems so I'm wondering would this make your gestation different? (Sorry if this makes no sense I know what I'm trying to say but it's not coming out well) 😂
@Michelle I know exactly what you mean and have been wondering the same thing. I went into labour at 32 weeks with both of my boys, with my second measuring well below the expected centile (if I remember rightly he was 9th centile for his gestation). I’ve tracked my ovulation for years so I’m pretty certain my dates are accurate, but have a feeling they’re going to push dates back when in fact babies just small 🙈 x
If you know your cycle and track ovulation then your calculations should be accurate. When I go off of the first day of last period, as NHS do initially, I'm about a week ahead but scans always date at the dates I think as I've got a long cycle. X
