Anyones nursery lack updates throughout the day on the app?

They're updating about breakfast, wet nappies, soiled nappies and naps but nothing about lunch and dinner. I know I can always ask when I get there but it just makes me worry that she isn't eating. Does anyone else get this? Surely if they have time for all the other updates during the day they can update if they ate or did not eat?

From my experience working within settings, staff never accurately update the app anyway (food wise), it can never be updated during meal times due to safety reasons and ratio. Then by the time the staff update it, they don’t know what they’re putting. Send an email with your concerns x

@Courtney thank you, its helpful to hear of other people's perspectives that work in this field because there's probably lots of things I'm not aware of. 🙈 I think when I worry I just overthink and wind myself up 😂xx

We get one update at the end of the day - they log everything (nappies, food, sleep) but it has to be released to us by the manager.

Strangely enough because I’ve worked in the industry I won’t send my girl until she’s old enough to talk! It’s so different working in that environment, I know not everyone can stay at home. My friend often tells me stuff about her sons nursery and I’ll always get her to question things regarding to policies etc because nurseries can be naughty in the sense of just sending a child home for a temp without following precaution/medication policies! If u ever have any questions, message me and I’ll help the best I can! Xx

I rather prefer for the staff to focus on the kids than updating parents on the app. My son's nursery updates at the end of the day

I get updates on the app, when he signs in, what he’s eaten for breakfast lunch and tea and also nappy changes and nap times, they are really consistent with that which is nice but I am constantly checking it! 😂 but they rarely send any pictures of him playing which upsets me! They send maybe like once a month. But I understand they are very busy so can’t always be on the iPad x

@Courtney I've definitely found they've sent her home with a 'temp' only for me to get home and check it myself and see she hasn't actually got one! I asked once if they gave her calpol for it and they said they'd only ever give calpol in emergencies such as temp over 39.0'c... had this sent in an email to me and I've had people tell me it's dangerous to wait till then?😬xx
