Ella's kitchen has a lot of useful information too. It's worth mentioning that milk should remain as baby's main food source until they are 1 year old, so keep feeds the same, and gradually move to introducing more solids. But don't rely on solids to fill baby up if that makes sense. Maybe some greek yoghurt for supper might help though. You can also put a bit of yoghurt on the straw cup to encourage baby to suck, this is how I taught mine. Try not to rush it or pressure yourself too much 😊
Have to also try things one at a time before giving full meals due to tummy growing new biomes
I also used the Ella’s kitchen weaning chart and also the Ella’s first food book for a bit of inspiration. You start with one meal then when you feel that’s getting eaten well move on two then 3. As the lady above mentions offer milk as normal but as they start eating more solids and drinking water they will naturally not want as much. Please don’t worry about teeth. My son didn’t get his first tooth until he was 2 (he is 3 now and still doesn’t have them all!) he ate everything. He even ate nuts and steak! Their gums are very hard and at 6months they basically suck the food until it dissolves! It’s why it’s so messy!
Babies are very intuitive about how much they eat, so hopefully you don't need to worry about him over eating :) If you've started on puree already, you could try to start adding in softer and smaller solid foods, like the baby pasta you can buy for example (it's tiny weeny pieces and super soft so they can basically suck it down, and good with a blitzed veggie sauce). As for things like bread, they will generally just try picking it up and gumming it to strat with - it's all good exposure. Hopefully you can start with some softer foods like that, and once you both get a bit more confident with those foods you can then start adding in other, more solid things. Or just go for it and give them a cooked piece of veg or something :) It's been mentioned above, but I found the Solid Starts app useful!
Solid Starts is a good resource for BLW they have a website with free information and a good Instagram page. https://solidstarts.com/category/starting-solids/
