Dinner time

What are we doing with lo that used to eat anything put in front of them to now just looking at it and throwing it on the floor then screaming if you try and give it to them by hand 😭😤 I’ve just ended up boiling some pasta and giving it to her so she’s eaten something but she’s gone from eating all our home cooked meals to not even attempting to try them even her favourite dinners like fish rice broccoli, homemade pies or spaghetti bolognaise goodbye my nice clean walls 🙈😂

When did you notice this change in eating habits?

Tried her on my knee and letting her sit on the sofa she did go to eat it then just spat it out everywhere 🙈 it’s been on and off from the weekend but last night and tonight have been the worst and she’s only in the last few weeks started sleeping through so I’ve now got fear she will start waking in the night hungry though she still takes 80z of milk before bed.

Oh how I resonate with this 😂😂 ever since my boy has been ill (2 weeks ago) he has been awful! Won’t even eat a jam sandwich! But with meals I have a dinosaur plate that’s big enough that I can put small bits of food around it if that makes sense? So say it’s sausages, I do sausage in one area then chips in another and then offer safe foods on it too, we have expanded to cheese, some veg and some fruit! It could all go tits up again soon but as long as he’s eaten something! So just offering safe food alongside the ‘new’ food even if it’s something they use to love. Does that make sense?

We let our little boy help us prepare the food when cooking now and since doing it he happily eats the food once it’s ready. Sometimes even during the cooking

I just carry on offering what you were going to offer but also offer one safe food alongside it.

Yes my daughter has started this she ate everything and now its NO to everything
