First tastes

Not weaning but has any one let their little one have a lick of something to see how they like the taste? 😅🤣

Not with my 2nd, and unintentionally with my first. He was sitting in my lap while I was eating a burger and he grabbed it and before I could wrestle it out of his hands it went into his mouth. So his very first taste was some Mayonnaise and chicken burger 🤦🏾‍♀️

My little one loves cucumber sticks, bread, and so far, avocado & peanut butter. I've tried eggs this morning, but he wasn't a big fan. He has GERD, so I was advised to start weaning him off. Plus, he is grabbing everything that I eat, so he is ready😅x

I’ve let her try cucumber sticks, a mango pit and a broccoli floret. Like baby led weaning lite 😂 she’s not really swallowed anything yet, I think she liked the cucumber but she was not impressed with broccoli 🤣

My partner has done with ours before she started weaning..she had some chocolate and a bit of a chip 😅

Mine stole a chip off her Aunty's plate and shoved it in her mouth last week (so almost 5 months). We took it out. Ironic, as my craving was potatoes, so she is 90% made up of potato. Breakfast lunch and dinner 🤣

I have now as he’s become interested in our food so letting him taste is fine but I wouldn’t let him actually eat it as he’s not sitting up on his own yet but getting them used to tastes I don’t think is harmful personally as long as it’s safe for baby not things like honey that’s toxic for babies under 1 or common allergens on the same day like egg or nuts 🤷🏼‍♀️
