Baby hates tummy time
Hi, any advice please!!! my lo is 3 months and has CMPA & reflux. I try and do tummy time with him every day on his playmat using a pillow or just on the floor with a variety of toys to try and engage him. But all he does is scream every time I put him on his tummy. I sometimes don’t pick him up immediently I wait and try and distract him but he gets himself so worked up - and think he’s uncomfortable on his tummy due to his reflux. When I hold him upright in my arms he’s really good at holding his head up and looking about. Does this count? Am I missing something here or doing anything wrong? I’m just worried he’s not getting enough tummy time and therefore won’t hit milestones. Any advice would be great here!

My 9 week daughter hates tummy time and I was stressing, I did exactly what you was doing trying different methods and she also can lift her head very well when she’s in my arms, but will scream bloody murder if placed on the play mat with the pillow, with mirrors, pictures etc, however I learnt I valuable lesson off bluey the kids cartoon that was a message for mums, your doing brilliant and set your own race, it will come in time ☺️ your 3 months old will get there, don’t feel too pressured with other mums with their kids reaching different milestones compared to yours, it’s just a guideline, because you are doing great
