Everything Changed

Now that baby is 1. She is no longer eating or sleeping.she used to sleep throughout the night. Now maybe 5hr and she doesn't like anything so I end up giving her goat milk 12-24mo and she will drink that. However, she was eating solids strong. Idk what this means and why everything changed all over again. Any suggestions?

Same here. Once November hit and time changed, my daughter was completely different. We had to sleep train, which I thought I would never have to do. She stopped wanting solids, I can get her to eat the little serenity pouches, no problem though. She refuses most of the daycare food. I just keep offering her solids and figuring things we can keep offering. We had to put her on 12-24m formula since she is lower in weight already. It's just trail and error over here now lol.

The 1 year sleep regression is unfortunately a normal thing! Just give baby time to settle back into a routine. I think teething and then being more aware impacts it all.

Thank you ladies because I thought i was doing something wrong. Now the sleep training thing. I have had multiple moms tell me about this. The sleep training programs are all hundreds of dollars a month. Is that normal? My husband won't be able to not go in her room. I just don't want to spend that kind of money if he can't stick with the program.

Solidarity! Her sleep has been shitty for like 2/3 weeks and she just turned 1 on Nov 21st! I was getting barely 3 hr max! Now we’re doing a little better more solid 4/5hrs ugggggh Solids are hit or miss too!

I FEEL YOU! My son is doing the same. He would sleep through the night & if he did wake up at night.. he’d play in his crib quietly then put himself back to sleep but now he’s been crying. He usually cries for less than 10 min then sleeps but last night he cried for over 10 min so we got him & he just wanted to play. We eventually put him back in his crib & he cried for less than 10 min, then slept

We did not pay for any sleep training programs. I did a bunch of research and tried a few techniques until one worked.

@Austianna what method did u try?

We tried all of them, but the only way that worked was a combination of fading method and Ferber. Took about 4-5 days, now she's sleeping through the night. Sometimes, she wakes up around 4a but goes right back to sleep.

I bought a book on Audible hopefully it will go through everything with me. Thank you b ladies. I'm glad to know I'm not alone.

My boy used to wake up several times at night, crying and screaming. We would always get to him, and it would take sometimes 10 minutes, sometimes more to rock him back to sleep. But also every evening, we would put him down in his crib asleep so he never learnt how to fall asleep on his own. Last week we started sleep training, using Ferber extinction method, and it worked like magic. He cries a bit when I put him down in his crib, but as soon as I walk out and turn the lights off, he gets quiet. And he didn’t wake up screaming at night for 5 nights already. Sometimes he does wake up and fuss, but he doesn’t panic as he used to before… I was surprised how well it worked, and he didn’t cry much at all in the process. Every baby is different, but it’s probably worth a shot.

Look up 12 month leap
