Can I ask for a sooner date for a planned c section?

My baby is breech and I'm getting a scan next week to confirm it. My midwife said I will probably be booked in for a c section at 39 weeks, but I feel anxious about waiting that long and going into labour with a breech baby! I live about 40 minutes away from the hospital, and also don't have anyone in the area to drive me to hospital if my husband is at work. My mum and nan both had incredibly quick labours - so I'm scared about a breech baby coming before everything's ready! Do you think if I expressed this to the doctor they would consider an earlier date? I'm worried they will think I'm an over anxious FTM...

Yes I think so I asked for a later date, more so around 40 weeks but I was obviously warned that if natural labour happens I have no choice

I don't think you will be able to ask for an earlier date I'm not sure how many weeks you are but there's still time for them to turn I'm 33 weeks and my baby is also breeched but this will be my 3rd baby and 3rd c section and they have never been so concerned about me having the date brought forward due to this and also they like to leave baby in there cooking for as long as possible.

Yes you can as long as there’s no risk. My second section was booked for week 39 but there’s bank holidays and I have no village/childcare for my toddler. They’ve moved me a week forward to avoid that and give me some reassurance. My first baby also came 10 days before my elective anyway, so there’s no chances being taken.
