Cutting dairy out

I'm going to try and cut out dairy from my daughter's diet to check if it is the cause of her skin issues. For those dairy free, how do you ensure your child is getting enough calcium (and other useful things I guess, that are in dairy)? She's 14 months old.

We use the alpro "growing up" soy milk which is fully fortified and was recommended by my GP when we realised my LG was lactose intolerant

Oh and certain dairy free alternatives are fortified with calcium, we use an Asda cream cheese spread with garlic and herb that my LG loves. Other than that, we haven't changed that much, we are waiting upon a dietician referral to get some more information.

We are vegan but LG is vegetarian, however as we don’t drink cow milk in our house she has alpro growing up milk too and loves it. They do non dairy petite filou as well or Tesco own dairy free fromage Fraise are good too. Loads of dairy free cheese available now, cathedral city we find the best and violife soft cheese

Thanks all x

@Tara how did you find out that your child was lactose intolerant?

We introduced cows milk after my LG stopped breastfeeding when ill, she went from dirty nappies once every 3 days to diarrhea 3x a day. Also had a rash on her cheeks and chin
