Same here would be nice to see if anyone else has any decent hacks x

For us it's still a lot of running after LG.... But drawing, stickers and books help Get them running before restaurant to burn some of the energy and have snacks ready/don't leave them hungry

We just get little one to sleep in his buggy first and then sit down to eat. It’s the only way we’ve found to eat in peace! Will follow this thread for suggestions but fundamentally I think we’re asking toddlers to sit still at an age where they’re just not ready to do that.

If my LG is eating then she’s happy to sit with us out. But if there’s no food then she wants to be down exploring so we only go places that can accommodate that, as I agree the expectation for them to sit and play nicely for the length of an adult meal out isn’t the most realistic. Sometimes a few books or her mini magnadoodle will keep her interested but usually for 5 mins max.

We take little toy cars and a wooden jigsaw and that seems to do the trick. We also tend to go with him to the likes of a harvester, so they have the salad bowl to tide him over til main is served.

Colouring in, stickers, and the 100 words book that they press and it says the sound or word

A few toys, engaging with him (constantly). After a while sit on my lap and continue engaging and playing with a few toys Personally I don’t expect him to sit still the whole time, if he wants to walk and explore i will go with him…

We use sticker books and the magic books, the water pens xx
