How are we keeping healthy?

I’m under 7wks or so and just wondering how most of us will keep healthy throughout the winter months during pregnancy. I’ve been googling different things I can and shouldn’t really eat and what I’m loving at the minute is flavoured yoghurts but I know the sugar in them can cause unhealthy excess weight in pregnancy along with other foods. I’m wanting to try workout during pregnancy and I know there’s so many influencers to watch. But I was wondering what are everyone else’s thoughts on the topic of physical health ? X

Also want to know x

It's quite difficult early pregnancy to take good care of yourself. You feel sick, gassy, bloated, exhausted. It's really hard to prioritise healthy habits when you feel like that 🥺 I'm struggling to eat anything at the moment coz of the nausea 🤦🏼‍♀️ just got to do what works for you. Lots of walks, I'm trying green juices to get some nutrition in. Is hard though

I agree! I usually eat pretty healthy and exercise a lot but I’ve not been eating the best as I can’t stomach my usual foods & feel pretty sick most days now, worse in the mornings - when I’d usually go the gym before work! It’s tough but I’m prioritizing rest for my health & walking, doing light weight sessions where I can! But I feel like rest is my main priority, especially when I’m usually always on the go! I definitely think continuing to workout is really good for you but starting it can be advised against, unless you go really easy x

Trying to eat as healthy as you can is good but can be hard in the first trimester. At my first midwife appointment she said to me to continue doing what you would normally do. So if you work out great, keep on doing it if not then they would recommend to not start anything now during pregnancy, they don’t want us to diet , but to eat healthy x
