Is this normal?

First time mom here, and I’ve noticed some patterns that are different for me. 34 weeks along 1.) my body is on like cleaning mode. Everything needs to be cleaned and sterilized at all times and I’m cleaning for hours 2.) my body only wants to sleep when baby boy sleeps. I’ll clean for a few hours then I’ll take like a 5 hour nap ( which for me is a full nights sleep as an insomniac ) 3.) I’m up all night. Making a plan for the next day. What I need to clean next, what I should make for breakfast, lunch , dinner 4.) also having anxiety about birth and how to care for a new born. No matter how I read about it, my anxiety only gets worse! 5.) he’s quite low and when he moves it’s becoming painful ( not to mention he’s about 6 pounds) 6.) My Braxton hicks feel like they are more in my back than in my abdomen. 7.) the closer my due dates comes the more I just want to be induced and get the birth over with! Is all of this normal or am I losing my mind?!

It's normal, you're nesting ! 🫶🏽

@Anyssa I feel like I’m going insane lol

Yess Anyssa is right. It sounds like nesting. Some anxiety as a new mom is normal, but reading on it as often ( as mentioned above) is increasing/ worsening it. No matter how much you read, it'll never match up to the real scenarios, which might just cause you to be obsessive. Some things are just about living thru because your baby and your experience may be completely different from what the books may say..and thats a good thing...that makes it special...makes it YOUR experience...so do your best to breathe. For many women, things come to us naturally, for others due to hormone imbalance and other reasons, we struggle. Either way, rest assured you will do it the best way you can, and if you struggle more than the usual, help is always available, seek it out, even if its just from this app! Also, the fact that you care to read on it tells me that you care....which is enough for now, so breathe ❤️❤️!

A lot of it sounds like nesting and bracing yourself for a huge change. I’d say it’s normals not fun, but normal! When the pain is in your back if means baby is facing the opposite way than in birth. However this could also be an indication of actual contractions so it’s good to time them when they get bad

It’s normal

It’s normal. I’m having the same feelings. I’ve slowed down though, as much as I want to clean, my body is making me sit down. I’m getting anxious about birth, and meals, and Braxton hicks.
