I keep testing...

I'm obsessed with testing for pregnancy. Idk why. I am 5 months postpartum, exclusively pump, use the withdrawal method to prevent, have yet to have my cycle return yet, and I haven't ovulated yet because I test for that too🫣 I still test for pregnancy even with all these reasons why I wouldn't be. I had fourth baby at 6 months postpartum & idk I guess in my heart of hearts I want another, the last one, already. My husband doesn't want any more but he said that about the last two as well. Idk how to curb this habit. I think what will help is me getting my period back. Any advice?

It's common to not ovulate or have menstrual cycle for several months after having a baby while exclusively nursing full time. It can be used as a form of birth control if find correctly. When baby starts sleeping through the night, uses a pacifier, skips nursing sessions or starts eating food, is when it is no longer a reliable method, as long as your period hasn't returned... it can be 9 or more months later. If you don't want a a 2 year age gap though, I would consider adding another form of birth control. If you don't want the pill, the IUD is a great option, and the non hormonal option is just as reliable.

- no lines on your tests btw😊

Ok that one I do too... recheck in a week, and see if it's darker or gone.
