We are the same. He won’t eat anything with texture, he just plays with it really. So he mostly eats things blended up into purée texture. I’ve been told not to worry and lots of babies take a while to establish a proper interest in food and feeding themselves.

@Kirsty ah it’s good to hear I’m not alone 🥰 do you make your own purées or using the pre made ? I’ve just stated to try the 7 months pouches and he gags a lot on them xx
@Grace does he show any interest in chewing ? My boy just swallows as soon as the puree goes in shows no sign of actual chewing c
@Lindsay I always play music and try to make it enjoyable he started to actually like purée now but just don’t show any interest in chewing just straight swallow lol x
My boy refuses all pouches unfortunately so we have meals frozen for him or he gets the same as what we eat mashed up

Sounds horrible but I've prechewed things myself so she doesn't choke and think that's warmed her up to chewing
We are, but we are starting to make it a little more textured recently and he spits and bits that are too big out. He will eat the banana biscotti quite well and will bite on crumpets etc but doesn't actually eat an awful lot really. He has only started to look like he's getting the hang of chewing in the last week or so. My little boy is 9.5 months.
