Solid starts app has anything and shown what size pieces you should cut 🙂
@Georgia Nwabuko I've ordered this book but might not come in time for when we want to start. Does it say to just offer veggies for first 2-3 weeks ?
Literally anything.. mine had toast as his first x
Basically anything! My baby has had chicken, sausages, carrots, broccoli, pasta, banana, strawberry, pear, bread sticks, cucumber, sweet potato and normal chips (home made), bagel with melted cheese.
I'm doing veggies also to start with steamed/boiled then onto fruits. Purée & finger foods abit of both but it's only recommended 1-2weeks of pureed. It should be given to baby more of a mashed consistency or finger food.
I’m doing veggies to start - broccoli, avocado, potato, carrot, swede all cut into finger sized pieces and boiled/steamed then after 2-3 weeks I’m going to start introducing fruits and then will build out meals so adding rice or making little patties I’m following the book How to Wean your Baby but there are loads of checklists to follow. It’s also recommended trying the same veg/fruit up to 10 times as they wont always like it straight away
