@Amy thank you for responding❤️ I have to take them till 16 weeks. I’m 9 today. Can’t wait for the next 7 weeks to pass and hope the anxiety eases🥲xx
What dose are you both taking? I assumed it was standard but had a midwife appointment last week and they asked what dose I was on and I had no idea. I’m taking 400mg pessaries twice a day. Is that normal? Have had three prior losses and have been taking them since I was 6 or 7 weeks and am now 10w4d
Hi, I’ve had one early miscarriage just a month before I got pregnant with this one & I’ve been prescribed cyclogest too, 400mg twice daily for up to 16 weeks. My anxiety has increased a little but I think I’d be this way with or without the pessaries! The fact we’re taking them, may also mean we have had past trauma experiences with pregnancy so this could also impact your anxiety. It’s a scary time but wishing us all lots of luck🥰❤️ xx
I came off these a couple of weeks ago and I felt like a new woman the day after I stopped! Progesterone makes me low/flat rather than anxious. The midwife agreed that it was the progesterone making me feel that way up to week 7 when I stopped. Grateful to get them prescribed but count down until you can come off! Good luck x
Have any of you had awful bloating whilst on progesterone? I don’t know if it’s connected or if I’m just having that with pregnancy anyway but my stomach feels solid 😅
Hey. I'm taking them twice daily - using cyclogest. I don't think it's increased my anxiety, but I've been on them for a lot over the last few years (whilst trying to conceive, and with a previous pregnancy and treatment) so difficult to tell. I think it's definitely possible they could do as it's hormones. But it's also normal for anxiety to increase during pregnancy when so much is already changing in our bodies and we are getting ready for such a life changing event. The suppositories will hopefully be only a few more weeks i would think? Hang in there, the placenta will take over soon. It will all be worth it! Xx
