@Jane Bernard thank you, unfortunately my triggers are standing and walking 😅
I'd advise getting a prescription if it's really bad. The prescription helped me a lot, but I still did get some nausea with it, it was less than without. As for will vomiting make you feel better, sometimes it does. For me, I only threw up 7 times, but I did feel much better after them. The only times I threw up was when it came on very suddenly, but fighting it down made those ones worse until I did throw up.
@Kai thank you! My nausea is off and on and usually feel better after eating but I’ve had a handful of times where I’m like “should I just let myself vomit” I’m also trying to do more natural remedies if I can and so far forcing myself to snack constantly is the only thing that helps
@Kourtney that helped me too. Mine was off and on too, more when I was on nightshifts. I snacked basically non stop, and didn't really eat meals until the nausea left me in second trimester.
Mine was so bad for awhile. Water, walking, position changes, food or thinking about it made me sick. I found that if I held it back, when I did get sick it would be worse. If I just got sick when I first felt it, it was less violent. I also didn’t have morning sickness, i had Hyperemesis which is totally different. Propel ice pops were the best thing hydrating and had magnesium and potassium which helps nausea.
I’m 30 weeks and still suffering with morning sickness. Being sick does make me feel better, but then I feel nauseous because I’m hungry, then too full. I found travel sickness bands to be helpful in the first trimester as walking / driving were my initial triggers!
Usually throwing up then eating something helped my nausea! I had all day “morning sickness” & if i got heartburn or didn’t eat I would puke everything! But after puking I would often feel better & eat as soon as possible!
I was exactly the same, all they helped was snacking and lying down 🥹 not very sustainable on might say lol. I did puke twice and tbh the relief was short-lived but I wouldn't hold it in. Do whatever feels right for you 🫶 I tried all the remedies, natural and medicated, prescriptions didn't help... Mints, ginger lozenges would be my best temporary relief. Sending hugs, it'll pass 🫶🫶🤍
I only had 1 vomit And weeks of nausea. Felt hideous post sick also
@Kourtney maybe more low blood pressure or blood sugar or vertigo related, maybe your not drinking enough? I'd speak to you gp / midwife about it.
Tips- eat little and often. Keep dry crackers or a banana beside your bed to have in middle of night or as soon as you wake up. Vitamin B6 was recc by my DR. Helped a bit but I struggled with the tablets. Stay upright for a while after eating to help indigestion or take those chalk tablets think they are called RENNIE. Hope that helps!
Thank you everyone! I’m glad I found this platform to get info♥️
Fighting will not stop it. I wish it could I advice you take it easy on yourself, know and avoid the triggers. If it gets worse, ask your GP to prescribe an anti sickness medication. May get better after the first trimester or later
