Copper coil
Hello, I had a C section one month ago. Thinking about putting the copper coil back as a contraceptive. I was told that copper coils can irritate even more but I can't understand why. Any experience here? Thanks

I was on copper coil prior to pregnancy and always had heavy periods with reoccurring BV. After I gave birth I had the coil fitted after 6 weeks and it was a blood bath, I took it out to let my body heal more and then fitted it in again after a month and cycles were normal but still have heavy periods to the point I’ve become anemic and getting it removed this month to try hormonal contraception
I had the copper coil and I constantly got water infections and lots of discharge which was not normal for me
