Can we eat cocktail pork sausages while pregnant?

Might be a weird question. I’ve been wanting to have them and I’ve googled it numerous times but it’s so conflicting on what is okay and not okay to eat during pregnancy. I usually eat them cold straight out the packet as there like little lunch items/snack. If you could give me any other food ideas for snacking on from Asda, Morrisons or Tesco that would be great x

They need to be eaten hot and get to a heat that is hot enough to kill any bacteria. Same with any other deli meats etc.

@Louise thank you, I’ve thought that but kinda second guessing, if I’ll actually be able to eat them. I’ve been put off a lot of the food I like, thinking about it all hot is not sounding tasty😄

I’m sure if you buy them, cook them and then let them go cold and eat them same day you’d be fine - as long as they’re stored properly and cooked thoroughly

I’d say you can eat them cold, they’re cooked so they’re not in the same bracket as deli meats like pepperoni/chorizo. NHS has a page that gives you all the foods not to eat have a look on that
