No and he doesn’t really go anywhere to get lost and separated from me if he’s out he’s with me or his father only and more so me -he doesn’t do daycare or preschool.

I'm sure everyone who has ever lost a child has said they don't go far enough to get lost but it does happen, my child never leaves my side but I find it a essential for them to know where they live incase they ever did find themselves separated from me, they say it only takes a blink of a eye for a child to go missing.

I don’t see a negative in doing this but the chance of my child disappearing is utterly low and at 3 I personally won’t be focusing on this until 5 or so . As My child is home and will always be home far mar than the average child I’m sure. 5 is typical for this kind of thing

I would say it's not about them getting separated. More so if there's an emergency and they need to give 911 personnel or an adult their address to come to get help. Especially if it is just you and your child.... God forbid if the parent goes unconscious or gets hurt in some way that they can't call 911 and the child has to, they will know what to say and where they live to get help. I've been teaching my son since last year. He doesn't know the whole address but can definitely get most of it so they would get close or be able to figure it out and he knows how to dial and what they operator will say, so he will respond correctly.

I love that and tbh never thought of it that way but thank you definitely a new way of thinking of why I want my child to learn this, my child knows our house number and street and the road it comes off so yes hopefully would always help in a emergency, guess my new thing to learn is 911 for emergency lol

911 will have your address if you call from a landline and I won’t be giving my toddlers my phone number to access my personal cell phone as it’s locked and has very important items in it it’s the equivalent of giving them access to items I’d need for work if I had a job definitely not happening and definitely not necessary for me not at 3 anyways for a potentially rare occurrence

No because we just moved in December but he knew where we lived previously and when we’d be on our way he’d be able to point out that we’re going home due to familiar places he sees regularly
