Knowing what is going on can be helpful, so you know to be careful and adjust as your doctor directs. Also, most placentas move up, that's where the most nutrients are, so it's natural for that to happen. Just be careful, listen to your doctors direction and find a place of peace and calm. 💙
I had it. Then it moved out the way by the time I was ment to have my son . He came early , not related. But no C section needed. Some times it resolves on it’s own No sex or pleasure at all ( that causes contractions) Keep movement light so you don’t pull anything. Stay positive
I’ve had 2 c sections one that was emergency and one that was scheduled. The scheduled one was kinda nice cause I knew when I was gonna have the baby and I didn’t have to labor. Also I had him out in like an hour. So my family didn’t have to wait in the hospital. The recovery time is harder than a vaginal birth but depending on how your labors were it might be less stressful.
@Jewelz Thank you. When did it resolve? I know I do have another ultrasound in 4 weeks. I’m just praying it resolves, unfortunately my husband isn’t able to take much time off at all so that’s my biggest worry.
My best friends did a week before she was gonna get a c section!
@Kayla I think around 30 weeks and I had him at 36 weeks I
One of my good friends just had it confirmed (32 weeks) that her placenta has moved enough so you can go for vaginal delivery xx
I was diagnosed with placenta previa early on in my pregnancy and was immediately placed on pelvic rest. It’s definitely daunting and can be worrisome but please don’t get sucked into expecting the worst. Even if you want to prepare mentally for the possibility of a c-section, still drink your raspberry tea and do lots of walking to prepare your body for vaginal delivery. It can really be a mind over matter thing. I asked every time I had an ultrasound and it never officially “resolved” itself but I went into labor a week before my due date and thankfully was able to have a healthy vaginal delivery.
@Justyce pregnancy tea / raspberry tea Definitely was something I used my whole pregnancy! Especially when diagnosed. I think I was like 7-8 weeks when I was diagnosed.
I Had That. It Moved As My Baby Got Bigger. Don’t Worry.
Message me if you want. It was my first and only pregnancy but it was complete placenta previa and it never did resolve and I did have a scheduled C section at 37 weeks
They say a lot of the time it resolves
I wasn’t diagnosed officially with this as like a thing but had this early on. I was under specialist care anyway as my womb is bicornuate (different shape) and the consultant said to me that at that stage of pregnancy the placenta “has got to be somewhere and will likely move”. It did move a couple of weeks after! I ended up needing a semi emergency c section much later on for something totally unrelated and found the surgery pretty fine and recovery ok too :) just in case that was on your mind. Mine was planned emergency in the sense it HAD to happen within a few days but they were able to plan it. I made a playlist to listen to and know the exact song that was on when my boy was born, I was lucky to hold him soon after too, I couldn’t feel anything chest down which was super weird as feeling returned and I was uncomfortable for a week or two sitting up from laying down and fully healed after a month I think. The team were so friendly and my partner was there the whole time
Not to disagree with people on here but I read that raspberry leaf tea isn’t good to drink until later on in pregnancy. It’s meant to be beneficial for conception etc but can cause minor uterine contractions or something which you don’t really want early on. So I wouldn’t have that until you’re further on :)

@Lauren I agree I was told to do everything to AVOID potential early labour including teas such as this
My friend had it and it also moved out the way before baby came and she had a water birth at home!
@Jewelz same here
I didn't have placenta previa but did have to have a scheduled C-section with my second child. A scheduled C is GREAT! The recovery is harder because it's major surgery. Find an OB that does great work, make a fun playlist, get help for recovery and take it slow. I thought it was going to be absolutely awful but turned out to be less tiring than a vaginal birth!
