Anyone else’s in laws ruining Christmas?

My parents and my partners parents live too far apart for us to reasonably travel to both of them Christmas Day Most of my family is working Boxing Day this year So we decided to do Christmas Eve + Boxing Day with the in laws, Christmas Day with my side and then opposite next year so at least my family have a years notice to try get work off When my partners family started having a go at us we offered for them to come to us for brunch Christmas morning, which they have refused to do and are choosing to miss my child’s first Christmas rather than be a little bit accommodating We’ve had some member of the family yelling at us over phone/ text every single day this week and I am absolutely dreading having to see them Christmas Eve knowing they will make me feel awful and ruin any excitement I have left for my baby’s first Christmas but my partner still says that they’re family and so it’s Important we go
