@Brittany they did it in centimeters
That’s really strange because that would put him at 1 foot and 1 inch tall. If he’s 33.2 pounds and a foot tall I can see why they would say obese. For example my son is 37 inches tall which would be 3feet and 1 inch and weighs about 28.5 pounds.
@Brittany I’m sorry I thought cm but it’s inches i confused it
Ah ok honestly in my personal and professional opinion as a nurse and not a doctor but also a first time mother is that you don’t have anything to be concerned about. These kiddos go through so many changes and grow and will be picky eaters or stuff their face and then hit a growth spurt and just fluctuate all over the place. He sounds healthy and obese seems like a STRONG word to use for a toddler who may or may not be a pound or so over their “average” weight. Don’t sweat it mama.
My doc told us that bmi charts don’t matter yet and not to worry. My toddler would technically be obese so I asked. She’s always been very short (Less then first percentile) but is a normal weight ( around 20th percentile)
His height and weight sounds healthy. I wouldn’t worry too much about what the doctor says. My friend has a son that’s around the same height and weight. My son is 37 inches tall and 30 pounds.
My kiddo is also in the “obese” range. Dr said bmi doesn’t matter at this age. I’m so sorry your dr said it!!! Uhhhhg
My baby is 35 inches and 32 pounds. You're not far off of that. I'm honestly surprised they said that to you!
34 cm or inches?
