Still breech and getting kicked in the bladder non stop 😂 also measuring big so the chances of being offered a ECV are slim. I have a scan on the 6th to check whats going on. Feel a bit in limbo but like you, just want baby to arrive safely.
Had my 34 wk apt this week and baby was breech and then oblique whilst midwife was feeling baby. Baby likes to move a lot 🙈 the options for me are breech birth, ecv or planned csection apparently, depending what position they are in at my 36 wk apt. I’m feeling overwhelmed by the options as i’m a FTM, and a breech birth sounds difficult/unusual but apparently it is an option so i guess it’s just a case of researching all options and then deciding. I’m unsure which option is safest/most dangerous. I hope you get to have your baby how you wish but as you say, as long as they’re safe and healthy, however i am struggling with the fact i may have to lose out on a vaginal birth potentially.
I had a growth scan in November and baby was breech, I had another on the 19th of December and he was head down and then yesterday I had a scan due to some bleeding and reduced movements and he was breech again! 🫣🫣 I’m hoping he turns as the thought of a c-section terrifies me, like all those women that have one I have massive respect for them! X
Babies typically have time to turn by 34-36 weeks before worrying. I’ve also read second babies tend to turn and engage later for whatever reason. Have you heard of spinning babies, they have suggested poses/exercises to help baby turn. You may also not realise but between checks baby may still be going up/down and around so may not always be breech and hopefully by the next appointment will be down. There are also some hospitals that have breech vaginal delivery teams. It’s a variation of normal rather than anything being wrong. But labour can be more tricky and so that’s why a lot of hospitals will just go straight to c-section as more controlled/less unknowns involved but actually it’s not unsafe to birth vaginally if you wanted to and have the right team/support. My last check was 28 weeks, now 32 and next check is 34 so hoping by then baby is head down. Trying for a VBAC due to EMCS last time and unlikely they will support a breech VBAC. Fingers crossed!
