Duvet and pillow

Has anyone yet introduced a duvet or pillow to their baby and how do you know when they are ready?? I brought one in the Boxing Day sales but don’t know if and when to introduce it and how?

I havent introduced a pillow just because he is a front sleeper and not sure how it would work so probably wont introduce one for a while. Does use a toddler blanket though

Thinking of getting a coverless duvet and a thin pillow but waiting till 18 months as thats what lullaby trust says and I've no idea what to look for too 🤣

My little girl has a pillow which she loves, it has helped her settle and sleep so much longer! We tried a duvet but she was getting frustrated so we have gone back to a togged sleepsuit for now x

We got a pillow for our little boy. He’s had it for a few months now and he’s a front sleeper or well an all over the place sleeper 😂 no duvet yet as he is all over the place so don’t think a duvet is right. We have just stopped using sleep bags and putting him in pyjamas which he finds fab and throws his legs around everywhere

I think if you saw your baby getting up and rolling over very well and they can kick a duvet off and can move things out of the way then they maybe ready for a pillow. My baby started using a pillow when she was 1 years old and a duvet when she was nine as she hated the sleeping bag suit so I had little choices but she’s fine with the duvet.

We've done a pillow but not duvet, we did not long after he was 1 but he had a really bad cough so used it to help prop him up a bit, we started with it under the sheet :)

Thank you all, I’m not 100% sure he’s ready yet. He’s a belly sleeper and seems to be quite happy with his bag for now. I might re consider in spring. I have seen that people put a pillow under their sheets first so I might give that a try, but I think he is abit to fidgety for now 😂

My little one loves his duvet and pillow, he will kick the duvet off when he doesn’t want it
