Pre-eclampsia??

This is my 4th baby, 37 weeks today and my blood pressure and urine sample have always been normal at my check ups. I’ve never had pre-eclampsia but for a couple of weeks now my hands have been getting really swollen and then maybe once a day or every other day my feet will get swollen as well. I’ve been feeling really nauseous since last Thursday and despite all the water I’ve been drinking this past weekend, my urine is really dark yellow. Tbh, even writing this out I noticed my vision a little more blurry than usual. Should I wait for my appt this Thursday to bring something up or do I call my OB or go into the emergency?? I even had a little bit of contractions on my drive home last night but they went away once I got into bed.

do you have a blood pressure monitor?? i would definitely update your OB about your symptoms

@Chelsie I don’t 😫 that’s the one thing I want to be able to check too before making myself freak out but the only way to check is to go in to my OB or urgent care

No do not wait til Thursday

You can go into any pharmacy, they usually have a blood pressure monitor or machine that you can use. I know Walmart has them also. And definitely call your OB to let them know how you’re feeling. They might change your appointment to see you sooner.

Definitely worth calling the on call doctor to see what they say!

I had preeclampsia with my 1st. I personally would call the labor and delivery unit. Because of all your symptoms you most likely will need to go in to be monitored. If your vision is still blurry and don’t have anyone to take you, call a uber or Lyft.

I did end up reaching out to my OB and they told me to go into the ER to get checked immediately! I even started getting a headache on my way here but I’m all hooked up and tested being sent out now so hopefully pre-eclampsia isn’t the case here , thank you everyone for the advice!! 🫶🏽

I hope everything is okay! Keep us updated! *hugs

I would go to the ER and be checked as well as calling your provider asap! Better to be safe than sorry, especially when you’re so close to your due date.
